Another Goal Reached - Teen Jeans

Well, sorry I've been away from my blog. For those of you who are wondering if I fell off the weight loss wagon, the answer is yes and no. I did have to delay my nine day cleanse as I headed off to Florida to help my Mom care for her ailing husband. However, I took my shake mix with me and dutifully started each day with a shake. I ate out a LOT in Florida, but I still remembered my protein and veggie rule for at least one meal a day. I did pretty well. I did eat some things I should have avoided like ice cream one night. And I had key lime pie for my birthday. Since it was warm in Florida (and flat) I tried running a few times. I'm not very good at that but still hope to do a 5 K in May. But I digress. Anyway, I didn't weigh in for a long time but when I returned from Florida I got back down to it and did a two day cleanse. I felt so much better after this. I am following the shake / meal / shake plan now. I finally did the weigh in after the long delayed two day and TA DA! I am now down 13 pounds. Today I put on my son's tight fitting, low-riding, skateboarding jeans and they fit! I had set a goal to keep going until I could zip these jeans. I was thinking about selling them on EBAY. It broke my heart that I spent $50 a pair - he only wore them a few times. (Did I mention they are too tight for him?) So, although I did not reach my goal of releasing 15 pounds of body fat, water, and toxins, I did continue to head towards my goal. I love the flexibility of this system. You can work hard when you want, and take it easy if life gets too hard. Also, you can eat pie and ice cream once in while and still reach your goals.
